6th Grade Reading : "Quiz Time" Complete section 1 worksheet ( chapters 1-4). Please write in complete sentences. 7th Grade Reading: Complete section 2 vocabulary.  State the part of speech for each word.  It is due Tuesday. 6th Grade Science:  "Structure of the Universe" Answer the following question in your note book. It must be 1 paragraph or more. What factors make it   possible for life to exist on earth.  Be specific. We talked about this in class. 7th Grade Science: "Earth's Spheres" Define 2 new  words on page 5 using  the strategies on page R 24. We also already defined 2 words in class. You will have 4 words total in your notebook.  8th Grade Science: "The Nature of Science" Read page 2 and 3. Complete Citizen Science." Take your time! Please put thought into this.  How did you do in science on Friday? Did you rise up to the " Marshmallow Challenge ?" 6th Grade Reading: "The Watson Go To Birmingham-1963" Complete vocabulary 11-20 (section 1). State the part of speech the word is from. Review chapters 1-4. 7th Grade Reading:"The Giver" Complete worksheet on " My Book of Rules ." Use a job from your book but make your own rules. You may change  your name. Complete " Talk It Over !" Write it in your notebook. We will discuss "Talk It Over" on Monday. 6th Grade Science: Are you ready for the quiz on the elements? Did you finish the map and define 2  words using R 24? 7th Grade Science: We work  on group projects on Monday. We will take the quiz  on the periodic table on Monday. 6th Grade  Reading: "THE WATSONS GO TO BIRMINGHAM-1963 Did you complete the vocabulary yet? Please state  (chapter ) Who: What: Where: When:  Why:  Both assignments are due Friday. 7th Grade Reading:  "The Giver" Did you complete the vocabulary (1-20) and  did you state the part of speech?   Complete worksheet on section 1. 6th Grade Science: Complete the map in the back of the book (Continents and oceans). Study for the quiz that will be on Monday-10 (Elements in the periodic table) Become familiar with pages R1-R49. This is a great resource to use in science! Define any 2 words from Science A-Z and define them using R24-Description Wheel and Four Square (This is due on Monday). Write this in your notebook. 7th Grade Science: Study for the quiz that will be on Monday - Elements in the periodic table (1-10). 6th Grade Reading Define 10 vocabulary words and write the part of speech. This is due this Friday. Write this in your notebook. 7th Grade Reading Complete  20 vocabulary words  by Friday. (10 words are due on Thursday.) List all of the characters in chapter 2 and 3. Please describe each character. 6th Grade Science:  Study for the quiz on the periodic table. It is on Monday. The song will help you remember the elements. If you can describe how we use these elements, you will receive extra credit.  7th Grade Science: Did you label  the map in your book? Study for the quiz on Monday on the periodic table (10 elements). 8th Grade Science: Finish "branches of science." Study for the element quiz on Monday (12 elements). Did you complete the map in your book? 8th Graders -please bring in your completed T-shirt on Friday.  I can not wait to see them decorated with photographs on them. I want to see photos of you as a younger SJB student.

6th Grade Reading: "The Watsons Go to Birmingham-1963" Be ready for the quiz on "About the Author." 7th Grade Reading: "The Giver" Study for the reading quiz. Define 10 words from section 1. Define 20 words total by Friday.  Please state the part of speech for each word. 6th Grade Science: Complete Science A-Z.  This will help you to become familiar with the book. Each word must have 4 letters or more. 7th Grade Science: Complete the science packet on branches of science and science vocabulary. 8th Grade Science:  Tomorrow  we will  complete the group activity on the chrome books with your group.  I will see you tomorrow. CLASS of 2016 I hope today was a great day for everyone! 6th Grade Reading: Please bring   a copy of " The Watsons Go To Birmingham-1963" to class tomorrow. 7th Grade Reading: Please bring a copy of " The Giver " tomorrow to class tomorrow.  On Wednesday there will be  a quiz on the author's life. 6th Grade Science: We will meet tomorrow.  7th Grade Science: Complete Science from A-Z( each word must be 5 letters or more.) 8th Grade Science: Complete Science from A-Z (each word must be 6 letters or more). 8th Graders please complete you "T-shirt" by this Friday . "Welcome to your last first day at SJB." Please have one or more pictures on your t-shirt from the  past.  Be share to include memories from SJB. They will be displayed in the middle school hallway. 8th Graders please bring in the new homework policy signed by Tuesday.
