Student Council Representatives 2015-2016 6th Grade Reading: Please read "Hatchet". Can you tell me the main characters and the plot? 7th Grade Reading: Work on your Utopian Projects. 6th Grade Science:"Stars" What did you learn from Ms. Block? Please, visit the library. Complete up to page 35. We will finish lesson 3 next week and have a short quiz.   What is a neutron star and a supernova ? 7th Grade: "Erosion" Complete workbook pages up to  page 37 and vocab by Monday.  6th Grade Reading: Please study the vocab words for the test. How did you do on the review game? Please write a a paragraph on Cody and Rufus ( 5 sentences or more). 7th Grade Reading: Study section 5 vocab words. The test for all vocab will be on Thursday. Write a paragraph on nurturers,  buoyancy, gravitating, and apprehensive (pick any 4 words). 6th Grade Science: Define Nebula, White Dwarf and Supernova. Use four square or the descriptive arm diagrams to define the words. 7th Grade Science: Complete the Google Slide presentations about weathering. 8th Grade Science: Read-People in Science. Define  how a submarine works. State  what a marine  biologist does. Also, apply nature and nurture to your own life. Give an example how each connect to your life.  I enjoy to  travel. 6th Grade Reading Jackdaws 2016 6th Grade Reading: The test has been changed to Wednesday, September 23rd. Pick 10 vocabulary to define and state the part of speech. What kind of music should we listen to tomorrow? What was played in the book? 7th Grade Reading: Pick 10 vocabulary- define and state part of speech. Tomorrow you will draw or act out each word. 6th Grade Science: Read pages 20 and 21. Make a Venn diagram to compare apparent magnitude and absolute magnitude. You must have a total of 3 details in the diagram. 7th Grade Science: Read page 23. What kind of rock are you? 8th Grade Science: Hoe many folds did you do? SAVE THE DATE 6th Grade Reading: Complet e worksheet on the : "Atlas" and complete "Quiz Time." Also- write 1 paragraph ( 4 sentences or more) and state what object in the Jackdaws amazed you the most. State why. 7th Grade Reading: Study for the quiz on chapters 20-21. Complete a Venn diagram in your reading notebook. State  Jonas and his father's viewpoints on the community.  Did their viewpoints change as the story progressed? 6th Grade Science: Complete vocabulary on stars (page 16). Please use a four square diagram or a description wheel for each. Look at page R24 for examples.  List 5 facts on the Hubble Telescope .
