I HIGHLY recommend 6th grade students to go to your public library and check out a copy of "The Cay" or you could also buy your own copy.
This is optional not mandatory.
We have hard cover "Cay" books we use in class and some very old soft cover books students can check out to take home.
It is a great book! Did you know "The Cay" is printed in 14 different languages?
